Default AEC exterior RO dimension tool

    Hi All
I am having problems with the AEC exterior rough opening dimension tool.
As you know we only dimension structural elements and not finishes.
No matter how I configure the settings or set the wall styles I cannot get this to measure only the structural elements.
I have contacted Autodesk help but there is just crickets.

is this another tool that doesn't work?

    any help greatly appreciated.

I only have limited experience with aca, and that was a few years ago, but I will try to help. First, I don't know what "tool" you are referring to. The only topic I could find in Help was this one. Maybe you could describe the steps you are taking. It looks like you just want to apply a dim and have it refer to certain elements?

    Hi Ed
thanks for getting back to me.
I have still not heard anything from Autodesk, they haven't even assigned my problem yet.
This tool is advertised as a time saver by Autodesk, and it would be if it worked.
it automatically dimensions walls and openings in buildings. with just a few clicks.
    any way Battle on

I still don't know what tool you are using. Do you have a command name? I can't tell from your screenshots. PM me what your autodesk account name and case number is and I can check with my contacts at autodesk why they haven't helped you yet.
