    Default quick profile

I used to be able to create a 3d polyline, create a quick profile view, the export that as an xml file, then insert that xml file back into the dwg and it would create an alignment.
then I was able to create a profile of that alignment (3d entity) and create a profile view that I could use in my dwg. For some reason that does not work anymore.
the alignment does not show up in the toolspace and I get an aligment conflict in the panorama. anyone have the problem? or know what I might be doing wrong. I've used
this method numerous times in the past and it has work without any problem.

edit: found the problem. you have to delete the 3dpolyline or feature line before importing the xml file back in.
