    Default Surface Model for Marketing

Good morning. I'm hoping I can get some feedback on a marketing project that I'm doing.

I have a surface model of a project that I want to use for our website. To start with, when I am looking at my surface in the object viewer, I would like to to show contours and the surface shading behind it. I have modified the "model" display settings for my surface to turn on the contours. My problem is that I don't want the triangles to show, only the surface and contours. Is there a way to accomplish this?

Next I want to spin or zoom around the surface (smoothly) in object editor and record it somehow. Is this even possible? I can move around the surface with the mouse but it isn't really smooth since it involves me clicking to pan, etc. Is there a way to get it to orbit smoothly on it's own, and does anyone know if there is an app/program that can record it from my computer as I move around it?

I'm hoping I explained what I am looking for without confusing anyone! Thank you!

Have you considered using Infraworks for this type of visual? You can generate smooth panning around the surface. I believe you would need the AEC subscription and not just Civil 3D subscription.

I hadn't. I'm not familiar with it but Google can help me. Thanks for the suggestion! We do have the whole suite of software.

You can export the surface to LandXML and use that to import into Infraworks.
