Default 3DPolyline linetype Generation not behaving despite Linetype3Dpolyon variable?

    Please Help.
I have 3D polylines from surveyor representing site drainage, caballing, etc
I open it with ACAD Civil3D 2024, set the system variable Linetype3Dpolyon expecting the 3Dpolylines line type to match the 2D polylines, and they don't. There on the same layer, and same linetype setting, but the 3DPolyline displays as a solid line, and not a dashed with a W in the middle as per the 2D lines & Polylines. I've also tried changing the Linetype scale with no success. I think there might be a solution by converting a 3DPoly to a feature line (I've no idea how to do that), but maybe a better way.
    Please respond

Converting the 3D polyline to a feature line is your best bet to maintain the 3-dimensional aspects of the line while enabling the linetype generation to function. You can convert a 3d polyline to a feature line from the Home ribbon within the Create Design panel. The Feature Line button contains a drop-down menu to Create Feature Lines From Objects.
If you have a technical question, please find the appropriate forum and ask it there.
You will get a quicker response from your fellow AUGI members than if you sent it to me via a PM or email.
