Default Electrical GPO Nester Family Scheduling Issue

    Hi,

I apologies in advance if this has been asked already on this forum, I couldn't find any solutions to the issue that I'm experiencing. I'm trying to create an electrical GPO fixture family in Revit. The main family host consists of multiple nested families of various electrical fixture types. I'm having issues in the scheduling of this family whereby the family is double counting the nested family and the parent family. Although I've selected "shared" under the Family Category & Parameters within the nested families and not the parent family, the parent family is still scheduling causing double counting. I have also setup a visibility instance parameter within the parent family to be able to switch on and off whatever GPO is needed which works great and reports as required in the schedule. The only issues as I mentioned is the parent family also reporting in the schedule. Is there a fix to this or something that I don't yet know of to fix this issue?

I've attached a few screenshots of the current setup. Thanks in advance.

The 'Shared' checkbox has no effect on the parent family when used in a model/project. A parent family will always schedule. Two options the way I see it:
    1. Make the parent family one of the families you do want to schedule
    2. Filter the parent family out of the schedule. Beginning with R22, you can now filter on Family, Type, and Family and Type, or you can use any other parameter of your choosing.
