Default Surface from XML is telling me there is something wrong with the definition

I imported a surface from one file to another using an xml file. Now the surface in the file I imported to is saying something is wrong with the definition. I had the xml file on my desktop and then deleted it because it was just temporary. Is the xml file attached somehow to the surface? If so, is there a way to change it?

    Thank you!

I didn't realize there is a difference. I used Landxml.

Have you checked the Event Viewer?

Does it contain an error like this?

Says you need to turn on Snapshot creation so that it won't look for the XML file each time

Yes, the surface does reference the .xml file. I suggest saving it to the server so others will have access. You can repath it in the Surface properties dialog box, the Definition tab. You'll see it listed under Operation Type.
