New entities do not display the correct layer color

Hello Folks,
This error happened suddenly. I'm not sure why.
When I draw a line or anything the object does not have the correct layer color. I have not seen this before.
Is there a setting that forces entity creation by layer?

You can set the color of newly created objects using the system variable CECOLOR. Setting this variable to "BYLAYER" should resolve your issue.

@tomcarver, FYI the CECOLOR is set on the Home ribbon tab in the Properties panel, as are other Create Entitiy properties. like CELAYER CELINETYPE.
