Default 3D solids & grips are totally not connected.

My 3D solid models have gone crazy. I save a dwg and when I open it up some of the objects are total displaced and oriented from how they were when saved. The preview window before opening shows what it looked like when saved and during initial opening it shows as saved. However; a second or so later lots of things change radically and some disappear. When I grab one of the grips and drag it the part changes a bunch. Crazy thing is when saved the part was horizontal and now it is vertical and turns 90 degrees on top of it all. Attach a picture that shows part and grips along with the drawing. I am totally lost on how to fix this. I have restarted the computer. I went into the control panel and did a repair but nothing is fixing the problem.

After saving the dwg the way I wanted it to be I used Windows File Manager and made a copy and pasted it into the folder. I then opened that dwg and it showed in preview and initial opening as I saved it. Then that one second blip and everything is wrong all over the place. In over 30 years of using AutoCAD I have never seen anything as wild as what I am seeing with this problem. Thank you for any help.
