How do I put a break point in the label line of the structure label?
Hey Tim,
First, highlight the label, then click on the intersection point of the label line and the structure.
Drag it away from the structure.
Now, that point will have a square, a dot, and a diamond on it. The dot can be clicked to take all the stretches out of
the label line, if you ever want to go back to original form.
The square is your first drag point for your label line.
Now, between that point and the structure is a new "+" symbol. Click on that and drag it just a little. It will turn into a diamond, your second drag point.
Both of these points can be dragged up or down - I'd use ortho.
With the label highlighted, right-click and select "toggle label pin". This will allow dragging either point left and right independently.
I typically leave the nearest point to the structure alone, except for up and down, and focus on dragging the furthest point left or right to create an angled
line (typically 45 degrees) in the middle leg of the label line. I even create a line at 45 degrees and move it around so I can drag the label line over it and make
all my dragged labels look the same. with experimentation, you'll easily get what's right for you.
Hope that helps...
Tom
