Default When double clicking a multileader object I don't get the editor as usual, why?

    Well this is new...
When double clicking a multileader object I don't get the editor, as usual, why?
If I go to the properties window and go to text>contents and click on the small icon to the right in that field, the editor starts as expected.
I am thinking some setting has messed up. I rebooted the entire computer and Civil 3D but it did not fix the issue.
Also I did and Audit and there are no errors.
    Help?

That makes total sense. I agree. Thanks ACAD!

And thank you for replying with the solution.
