Question Civil 3D Grading Optimization Pad to Daylight creates a wall?

I'm still learning Grading Optimization, here's my problem I'm grading a pad and I have two grading objects, the first being a zone that's the outline of the pad with a 1-2% Grade and the second object is the my grading limit that's at 33%.
Why does C3DGO create this wall in my design, what am I missing?
