    how do I change this lisp so it doesn't break the line

    The intent of the routine is to insert a block and trim the geometry found within the rectangular bounding box of the inserted block.

    What is your need to use this routine to insert blocks but not trim the geometry? The normal INSERT command can handle that aspect.

    If you dont want to see the line work underneath the block but not break it add a Wipeout to the block and all done.
