Default Modify an existing drone survey

Is there away to impose new surface data into an existing drone surface from an imported .xml ?

The xml import only brings in a snapshot of a surface.

I would create an additional surface to act as a container. Then I would paste the drone surface and the new surface to this container surface.

If the contours are jarring where the two surfaces meet, you could create a patch surface to be included as an intermediate surface in the container surface. This patch surface process takes the boundary of the new surface data, which has the elevation of the new surface data as an breakline to be added to the intermediate surface. I would then offset this boundary outwards about 10 feet or so (distance is user determined). This offset boundary would be converted to a feature line and set to the drone surface elevations, adding intermediate points if desired. Once it is a feature line, add it as a breakline to the intermediate surface.

Once you are satisfied with the intermediate surface, add it to the container surface. In the Definition tab of the container surface, adjust the placement of the intermediate surface to come after the drone surface and before the new data surface. This should calm the jarring contours some.
If you have a technical question, please find the appropriate forum and ask it there.
You will get a quicker response from your fellow AUGI members than if you sent it to me via a PM or email.
