Hi,
Newbie here.
I am using VoloView 3.0 to mark up ADT 2004 cad plans and elevations for distribution to drafting staff. I am experiencing some problems when I save the markups as a .rml file and then insert them into the actual base drawing that I used to mark up. All markup work is done in layout view. However, I experimented in model space and the exact same things happen.
I email the .rml file to the drafter and when she inserts the file into the base DWG file in the same directory as the .rml file, all the leaders on callouts go crazy like pac man all over the place. If I do a measure and apply that to create a dimension, when the inserted file is opened, the dimension also changes characteristics. One example is that I measured a window in elevation and applied the dimension with a note to raise up the head. when the drafter inserted the .rml file and opened it, the dimension was two very large arrow heads and was converted to 3 15/16". The original dim was 9'-2".
It seems to me that there is a problem of translation from Volo View to ADT 2004, which is what we are using.
Does anyone have any idea what is going on? Is the Dimstyle in the DWG file over riding the Volo View .rm file's settings?
Thanks,
Dick Sampson
