Exclamation Warning from Vendor not to install (Whoops, to late)

    What's this warning about?
I received BS2006 in the mail, installed it (it acted like the deployment didn't work), call my vendor to see if there's any write ups about the program yet, and they tell me "Do not install!!) They received a mailer from AutoDesk that said the program was released with error. 3 Weeks from now there would be a service patch to correct it.

Any idea what's going on? If it's a crashing error, I'll live with it.
But if it's something screwy like it'll convert all my .dwg files to .tiff or something, I want to know =-)

    Thanks for the heads up,

    Mitch McComb

A quick search of Autodesks website did not turn up anything saying not to install. It is probably something minor, something won't work the way you want it to or something like that. I would think that if it were major, Autodesk would be letting all customers know about it.

    That was my thought too.
If it's that major, they have buyers phone numbers.
Think of all the overseas charges that would create =-)

One of the problems I am having involves Express Tools. After the install, the pull down Express Tools work fine. However, I only get the "cloud and question marks" on the express tools menus.

Our local vendor had not heard anything from other local users regarding this problem.

    Any ideas?

I've been using it for quite a while with no problems. There will always be a few bugs but I haven't noticed anything that would prevent me from using it.

From what I've been experiancing with the CUI, I have a feeling that the problem you are having has something to do with that. Make sure the acetmain.mnu file is loaded & part of your CUI workspace.

You could also try re-installing ABS from sratch & see what happens to the icons.
