I'm looking for a SHX font that looks similar to Arial.ttf. (Explained below) Does any one have one?
Requirements:
1. the %%d, %%c, and %%p text modifiers should make the standard AutoCAD symbols, i.e. degrees, radius, plus-minus.
2. The Unicode character for \u+0394 must be the delta symbol
The reason why is that while Arial.ttf is great looking, it doesn't take on widths of a layer as SHX fonts do. The letters look the same whether they are on a layer that plots wide or thin. I need them to take on widths BYLAYER.
I've tried Arial.ttf. I'm using ROMANDX2.shx right now, but at L100 (1/10th an inch) and a layer plot width of 0.02 inch, it looks "muddy".
Downloaded every SHX file I can find on the internet. I have zero desire to invent my own font or work with SHP files. Looked at "conversion programs", they are terrible.
Any and all help would be appreciated.
