Mouse with sideways tilt wheel - zooming and scrolling

I am now using a MS wireless intellimouse with a sideways tilt wheel

With my previous mouse, I would use the wheel to zoom, and click/hold the wheel to scroll.

With this new mouse I want to roll the wheel to scroll up/down (instead of zoom) as this will work better with the sideways scroll, and then activate zooming with the wheel by holding down ctrl (or other key) and rolling the wheel.

I can't seem to get the wheel to change to scroll instead of zoom. Has anyone set up their mouse like this and can advise what settings they have?

I also have this mouse, but it seems to react weirdly. I don't use it for revit. I thought it would be a good addition to CS:S but it's wireless, so when you're playing online it's milisecond lag time is too much because you can't have any lag.

I didn't like this mouse becuse with the default settings, it scrolls too fast and doesn't react in the same manner that most mice work, so I just use it for my MP3 server to navigate songs. I can't work in Revit with it. Maybe you could go in the control panel/mouse and adjust things to define what you would like it to do. Until then, I'll keep using 3 or 5 button mices (misess?) heeh.
