Thumbs down Walls, windows and endcaps

I worked with Architectural Desktop and now I'm trying to use Revit. Some ideas are great, but sometimes I have a lot of problems mo make simple things. I'm trying to create a number of walls and windows. In ADT I had no problems with openings for windows because they are defined in wall style. An opening is an attribute of wall not window. And it's a correct idea. Because I need to insert the same window into different kinds of walls and every wall must have its own style of opening and endcaps. In Revit I can't create a standard window type to insert it into any wall. When I create Window Family I must think about all types of wall I will have in my project. If one time I created new wall style and I made a mistake in window family planing I must change all families of windows to define new opening style. I just waste my time.
May be I'm wrong? Correct me please.

Could you post some images of what you are after? You may be able to achieve your goal with the use of 'wall closure' properties within window families.

On this picture are samples of one type opening insertions. I don't need endcap in the solid wall. It means I have to use another type of opening. After that I can't use "Select all instances" options because I have two types of one opening size.
Also I have to fight with wrong wrap of external wall component. It's so boringly

Window family with void extrusion cutting wall.
Reference plane with 'Wall Closure' property.
    Add additional parameters as needed.
    Enjoy

Look in "Type Properties>Edit/New>Construction>Wall Closure" - I believe you can do all that you want to do already ++++ construct the family as Brad has suggested.

Question Re: Walls, windows and endcaps

Sorry, I can't see your Project1.rvt sample file. I have just Revit 7. Could you please make file in version 7?
And what do you say how to create endcap like this? Note, that I have walls with various depth of internal and external bricks and insulation. By ideology of Revit for 3 wall styles and 20 windows I must create 60 types of Window Families!
