Express Tools command not working through menu is loaded

I loaded ADT 2006 everything was fine except for express tools . they are in the menu and all commands are there. but they do not work in the pull down there are all question marks next to the commands (reminds me of the smiley faces in ADT 3.3). I have tried to put in the command EXPRESSTOOLS AND EXPRESSMENU but it says unknown command
I have loaded and unloaded all the menu full and partial.
I have even gone as far as reloading all of ADT again. Nothing seems to work
I am using a windows xp.
Any help would be great

I should clarify that i have read most of the posts on the forum regarding express tools
and none of those solutions have worked. I know all those solutions worked for previous versions. they don not seem to work with this one.

I just saw this same problem you described on someone's computer - but it was with Land Desktop 2005. If I figure out the fix, I'll be sure to post it.

First thing to check is the support folders listed in the Options dialog. Is the Express folder there?

Once you know that the Express folder exists, be sure that it is also in your support path........

im having the same problem. only i cant even get the menu to come up. i use express tools all the time. it is in the adt 2006 folder but i cant get it to load like other menus. could use some help here. i have found adt 2005 much more user friendly.

In 2006, they hid the express install even further. You have to do a Custom Install to select to install Express Tools.

so how does one reinstall... it tells me that i have to completely uninstall first... this is unlike the other programs that let you go thru a re-install and repair process that allows you to add other components...

and if i reinstall, won't i have to get another acitvation code?

Not for express tools. They are a seperate install & don't require activation.
