Question Trying to Model Sloping Shed Roof with Flipped Ends

I was trying to get the attached roof to work using the slope arrow and roof by footprint, but it doesn't let you use more than one slope arrow. Is there a way to create this sloping shed roof and then have the ends (or tips) flip up as I've sketched it?

I get your flipped ends just not the constant height. Mabey just drawn incorrect. But you can use more than one slope arrow as long as they intersect same boundary. here is the model to play around with.

    Zeds,
I don't have Revit 8 installed yet, and can't open your file.... Does Revit 8 do what the others haven't and let you "save-as" an older version?

Artitech, you can create the arrow, and if used along one edge, as Zeds mentioned, then it will behave properly, but the edges need to be split...there is an example somewhre in the help file showing how to do it.....

Ok, it is under Tutorial, go to index and search for roofs?slope arrow and then choose "<LI class=jumplist_bsd>Creating Dormer with Slope Arrow Tool"This will show how to use the slope arrow tool, and I think you can have the arrow on the opposite ends to achive your roof

Here is a quick example, although it isn't even close to your roof, with your proportions, it will show the concept, Again, make sure that the edge of the flip end is a seperate line from the rest of the roof edge...

edited: the more I play with trying to achieve your roof, the more I think it will be difficult to achieve it using roof footprint and slope arrow...

edited again: I opened Zeds' model and he achieved his example (closer than mine) by playing with the direction of the slope arrow (I thought both tail and head needed to touch the roof edge), the tails of the arrow needs to be on the same edge, but the head of the arrow can go in any direction.

Thanks for the help, I actually remembered seeing that dormer roof example and went back to it.... the key is in breaking the lines, thanks!
