I'm looking for a CAM software package that works with INVENTOR.
I really need a CAM package that can handle complex 3D milling.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Steve

Haven't used it myself, but you could try edgeCAM. I believe it is fully associative with Inventor. One software I have used and can recomend is PowerMill, which I found to be excellent for high speed machining of complex 3-D molds, but doesn't have edgeCAM's associativity. As for costs, I have no idea, sorry.Originally Posted by thegreenez

Steve,
Autodesk has a number of certified CAM applications on their website. I've also heard that Hypermill and GibbsCam are good applications. I had a tool maker use Mastercam a year or so ago and all inventor drawings had to be loaded as .stp files and then modified as all the geometry did not import. Good Luck!
I have been working with a machine shop that uses Master Cam. We have had great success.

Has any one had any experience with Graphic Products CAMTOOL 3?

PATHTRAE EDGECAM 9.75 is a good solution to use it along with Inventor as companion product
