Default Group Policy Install of 2006

I was happy to find out that Express Tools were more tightly integrated into the AutoCAD 2006 installation to overcome the problems of having to setup two different deployments (one for AutoCAd and One for Xpress Tools) but I cannot seem to get 2006 to run via Group Policy software installation. Is this a per user install only??? I am getting an event log error saying that windows cannot find the files for installation, but my network deployment is working find and all of the files appear to be there.

    Any suggestions????

It should be a per computer software install. Ours worked fine here. All I can think of, are the files located on a shared network drive accessible to all computers with the computers having permissions to access them?

    Hi

See if any of the following AutoCAD 2006 White Papers help -

"Planning a Successful Network Installation of AutoCAD 2006 or AutoCAD 2006-Based Products"

"Installing the Network License Manager for AutoCAD 2006 or AutoCAD 2006-Based Products"

"Creating Deployments for AutoCAD 2006 or AutoCAD 2006-Based Products"

Links to the above three titles can be found here.

    Have a good one, Mike

You might want to look into the Program Files/AutoCAD 2006/ directory to see it the menus even exist.
Go to AutoCAD and type expressmenu. It will then load it.
