View Depth

I have created a named view in a 3d drawing and I would like to limit the depth of view for objects in front of and behind the view plane. Can anyone tell if there is a command for this? I know how to do it for an xref but was wondering if there is a command that can be used in a named view.

Look into "adjust clipping planes" within the 3dorbit menu..

Thanks that worked very well. Do you know if it is possible to save the clipping with the named view?

The clipping planes should be saved with the named view.
Oh yes, you'll want to turn clipping OFF after you've saved the view. Otherwise it will continue to affect all views.

I used to do this a couple time a week in 2007, The GUI of it has a different feel now. Could someone please help refresh my memory?

I am looking into modelspace through a viewport in paperspace. I invoke the DVIEW command and get to where the slider appears.

It seems to be doing the cutting 90 degrees to the plane I actually want to cut.
