Default System Variable to control text stacking or not stacking

I would like to know the system vairable that sets whether or not fractions are stacked for Autocad. I have a consultant that set his autocad to stack all fractions but the are issues because I do not want any fractions to stack. I searched forums but have not been able to find what system variable controls it. Thank you in advance for all your help. Or if someone has a list of all autocad system variables, I can try to locate it myself. Thanks again.

There isn't a system variable. It is stored in the registry under the MText node (HKCU).

I found how to change it if you had accidentally specified "Do not ask".....
initiate the MTEXT command and make a boundary window for text anywhere, type a fraction, after it autostacks, highlight the stacked fraction and right click, select properties which is right below unstack in the right click menu, once the properties come up, select the autostack button and there you can specify which behavior you prefer. Hopefully this helps out someone somewhere.

Unhappy Re: System Variable to control text stacking or not stacking

    Hi guys.

How could I find all the stacked fractions in a drawing and replace them with horizontal unstacked all at the same time (like with find and replace)?

    Thanks
    Marv

To add a little bit, you may also do something where you turn off autostacking, and also select "Do not ask..." in the dialog.

In that case, you can force the creation of a stacked fraction. Type your fraction in the MTEXT editor, for example "1/2". Then select that text, right-click, and select "Stack". This should create a stacked fraction. Now you can select the stacked fraction, right-click and select "Stack Properties". In the dialog box, click on the "Autostack..." button and change the properties as desired.

This is what's known as "super user-friendly design"...
