The office just got AutoCAD 2004Lt, we have been using 2000iLT with a custom menu system. what is the best way to get the menu to 2004LT? I think i may have to do the same thin with LDD 2000i to LDD 2005.

Hi
The following thread should give you one or two ideas...
AutoCAD 2004 menus will corrupt 2000i menu file
Have a good one, Mike
will this work for LT since it will not accept lisp routines?
The menu files (*.mnu, *.mns) can be loaded into either version, the thing you have to watch for is if you are loading the SAME menu in both 2000i and 2005. If you want to have the menu loaded in BOTH versions then you would simply need to make a copy of the menu and give it a different name (i.e. have CUSTOM.mnu and CUSTOM-05.mnu). Then let each version compile it's own *.mnc and *.mnr files (these are the files that are not compatable between versions). So basically you would load the CUSTOM.mnu or CUSTOM.mns into 2000i which would then create the CUSTOM.mnc and CUSTOM.mnr files, then load the CUSTOM-05.mnu or CUSTOM-05.mns into 2005 and let it create the CUSTOM-05.mnc and CUSTOM-05.mnr. You could then use the same menu with the different versions. If you are just upgrading though you can use the exact same menu (*.mnu, *.mns), it will just need to be re-compiled into new *.mnc and *.mnr files for use in 2005. Hope this helps.
