Default Text placed in Front View - Display / Read in Top View

    Hi,

Have been searching for this for a bit now and haven't been able to find anything. We're using ACAD2004. When MTEXT is placed in the front view, with a True Type Font such as Arial, and you view the text in the top view all you can see is the handles. This makes it difficult to position the text in the top view easily.

Does anyone know of a variable or trick or anything that might help us to easily see MTEXT in the top view after it has been placed in the front view?

    Thanks,
    JL

You could try giving the text a thickness but I don't see that that helps a lot as you are still viewing it edge on.

Not sure what your ultimate aim is, but you could try this so that you can see your full text after changing views...

3d_rotate your text through 90° just prior to changing views, do what you want in the new view and then 3d_rotate it back.

    Q. Why do you want to see the Front View Text in the Top View?

If you are working in Paperspace just switch viewports... I usually have different text layers for each viewport to keep from seeing the edge on text in the opposing viewports....
