Sort of off topic here but this is too cool.

I had an ACAD2004 file with about 20 newly developed standard details for a repeat client. The file was corrupted; nobody knows how or why, ACAD happens.

I tried to recover for several hours used all my 15 years of ACAD tricks, back doors and the kitchen sink - nothing worked. I sent it off to my highly paid tech support people, they got nothing. Yesterday at lunch I was bragging about Revit to a friend and I said "Revit does ACAD better than ACAD.

Bare moments ago I imported the, "CORRUPT BEYOND HOPE" file into Revit and exported back to ACAD. Not a hiccup smooth as glass!

I'm just so happy I could abandon ADT!

Thanx for the tip Mike - we've all had .dwg files that need a good colonic cleanout, and it seems Revit is does that TOO.
