Default Raise Eyebrow Here, need help with column

well, maybe im just missing something, but i dont think that is the case here.

anyway, this is a custom column family that has an adjustable base with taper as well as a post and set of kickers. The kickers are adjustbale, kinda nice. Anyway, the problem starts when i want to adjust the visibility of the kickers and the post.

If you look at the parameters youll notice that there are yes/no variables for the post and kickers, and the links are there, if you look inder the properties of each kicker or post you will see that, but they dont go away. . . .can't hide them. . . . . . .im sure its just early and I'm missin somethin, but there it is anyway.

    Thanks

Got it. You have two elements at each Kicker, a blend and joined geometry, but only had the visibility parameter wired to the blend. I added your visibility parameter to the joined geometry and now it works.

    See attached.

I see. . .hmmmm, thanks, goin to have to check that. . .the only other geometry is the void, so I guess that hadn't set that.

    Cool, thanks

I cant figure out what you changed. . . .I see that the kickers work, but i need to get the post to work as well, but I can't find the "Joined" geometry that you talked about. . .and why it would affect the selected geometry to not use the visibility setting. . . .sorry if im confused I feel confused.

I tabbed over the kickers to get the second item. The first preselect was the blend, after tabbing I was able to select the joined geometry (that's what Revit called it) I picked that and changed it's properties.

I did it on the column too, see if that works now.

I didn't play with the settings for the blend, so I don't know if you need to have the visibility set for both layers or just for that second layer of geometry.

    Nice column BTW.
