Does anyone know what might cause walls to clean up perfectly everywhere except when xreffed into sheets?
I made sure the standard cleanup definition in the sheet had "allow walls in host drawing to cleanup with xrefs"
Stumped.
Thanks,
Phil

That will affect only the Standard style in the sheet file only. In order to allow it to work, you need to change this in the source files (i.e. constructs) that contain your walls & do it for each distinct style. Also, change the drawings that your tool palettes reference which contain your wall styles to have this setting active for future projects.Originally Posted by vanderloo5
Ya Steve, I knew all that but just wanted to include that in my post because I anticipated the first response to be " Do you have allow xrefs to clean up with host dwgs enabled"?
All of my constructs/views clean up perfectly. Why would they not clean up ONLY IN THE SHEET FILE?
Thanks,
Phil
4 things to check:
- the walls need to have the same "Cleanup Group"
- check the clean-up radii, they need to "SEE" each other.
- Regen Model inside the PARENT DWGs, then inside SHEET DWG.
- check the Composite Index of the insecting materials.

Thanks Terry but those were all eliminated initially.

You mentioned that you had done the check box in the sheet file for the Standard wall style. I just wanted to make sure you had done this for EACH wall style in the host drawings (constructs) as well. That check box needs to be checked starting at the beginning of the file structure which is the constructs - doing that in the sheet file shouldn't have any effect on the walls cleaning up.Originally Posted by vanderloo5
I have a feeling that it has to do with something else than this check box to allow walls to clean up.
Could you outline the process you used to create the views & sheet files?
Or, if it's possible, could you etransmit a couple sheet files with the corresponding views/constructs, along with the project file (there is an option to include this with the etransmit) & post the zip here if it's not extrordanarily large. If it's to big, let me know & I'll send you my email to send it to.
