Elevation Swing / Symbolic Line types.

I'm drawing a New window family. I'm trying to add window swing lines using symbolic lines. There is no line type in the drawing to reperesent a window swing (hidden/dashed). I don't see a command or button to load or create a new line type. Help me please.

Settings->Line Patterns

Same as when working on a project.

You can also use transfer project standards to load them from and existing project.

Another alternative is to consider adding an Object style in the family under the Window category of the family (versus the wall category) called "Window swing" or some such - which will give you a cut and projection line type (of which you can define the type of line and its weight and color) to control with the visibility command in each view of the project.

No, actually... creating a new line pattern didn't work. Thanks for your help though aaronrumple. I tried it after you said that and responded before actually trying to use the symbolic line. Going to Object styles under settings did work though. Thanks Skisouth
