    Default Slow Plotting

Whenever trying to plot a sheet from Revit Structural it takes forever and a day. The screen reads spooling under printer status for 3-5 minutes until the plot finally comes off the printer. We're plotting on an HP DesignJet 1050C and these are fairly empty sheets with just a title block. Anyone have any suggestions?

Raster? Vector? Advanced model graphics enabled? Shaded? Color?

(I have a cover sheet with a rendered shadow view that can take a half hour to print...)

Some have improved plotting times by creating a PDF first, and then send the PDF to the printer.

We have "vector" selected in the print properties box. Nothing is shaded or colored. We're trying to plot B&W structural plans. Not sure about having "advanced model graphics enabled." Where is that selection made?

Printing performance may be affected by a bunch of different factors. Support has a few tips and tricks and in some of the more difficult cases developers need to look into these. Assuming you are on subscription, I suggest contacting Support and they will be happy to advise and if there is something for us developers to look at, they'll let us know.
