    Default "Bind" OLE Linked Objects

    Hi y'all. (American greeting over)

I have A2K (yes A2K) and I would like to "bind" and Excel OLe Linked Object to a drawing. The drawing is being revved up and the client requires the previous revisions for quality tracking.

The drawing consists of and XR (Now bound) and the excel linked document (not bound) is there a way to bind the spreadsheet so it can't be changed.

    Robert

PS the client requires all previous revisions in AutoCAD format.

    Hi

The following was tested inside AutoCAD 2005, therefore apologies if it does not work in AutoCAD 2000.

PullDownMenu: Edit -> OLE Links -> Links dialog box opens, Select "Links" as required -> "Break Link" button (bottom right) -> OLE is now embedded into drawing file.

You may then want to look at the OLEConvert command.

    Have a good one, Mike

    Thanks Mike.

    Worked a treat.

Should you be practising your merrycan or summit?

When do these forums go down (UK) time?
