I have been using Firefox, but it is starting to become flawed just like IE. Opera is better about this, but both programs (FF & O) still have no real solution for rendering pages that are IE only, like some parts of Adesk - like the subscription center. Open the subscription center in FF or O and then in IE and see the difference in functionality. There might be addons to alleviate this, but out of the box, you lose functionality. As long as it is taking to get IE7 out, it would be surprising if it wasn't simply the best thing that ever happened to Microsoft. Surely it is going to be awesome; however, I hope it is not a knock off of MSN Explorer. Cheesy interface.

Really they shouldn't have to. All browsers and web pages should comply with W3C standards (which IE & IE only pages obviously don't).

    Hi Glenn

    Never a truer word said.

Let all web browsers play on a level playing field...

If only we could persuade Micros**t to stop hi-jacking real standards and tweaking them for their own purposes.

Are you kidding? Micro$oft SETS the standards (at least that's what they think...)

    IE7 Bugs and Reviews

An anonymous reader wrote to mention a Register article in which the possibility is raised of the current build dumping Yahoo and Google toolbars. At the same time, GWBasic writes "I've posted a review on IE 7 Beta 1. It is very clear that, unlike when Microsoft targeted Netscape, they are using their classic method of producing superior software by catering to the needs of the user. This is not IE 6 with a few features borrowed from the competition, but rather a clear step in the evolution of user-centric design." Flexbeta and ZDNet have looks at the new browser as well.

    Toolbars in IE7 Beta 1

Yesterday, rumors were circulating stating that the IE 7 beta 1 release causes the Google and Yahoo! toolbars to vanish. As Dean stated in Scoble’s blog, we support Google’s and Yahoo’s (and anyone else’s) toolbar in Beta 1 and will do so in the final release.

Yea but they got their fingers burnt with Java. MS Virtual Java Machine isn't bundled anymore because of legal stuff. You can find it on the net somewhere. Best to download proper java and let the browser use that.
