Angry CUT/FILL ADJUSTED VOLUMES FOR NON-CORRIDOR SURFACES

As I have used C3D at this point in the design of a couple sites and through the creation of DTMs for input into our GPS machine control, I have yet to find a way to easily generate a report for a non-corridor comparison surface that allows the user to input shrinkage and swell factors. This functionality is in place for corridors, but we need this functionality to evaluate entire sites, for those of us who do work outside of the Road Right of Way. My work-around for it is to create an 'earthwork' file that has the surfaces of interest, I then place a dummy alignment through the middle of the site and section it with right and left swaths long enough to cover the site. With this in place, you can then adjust the shrinkage/swell factors and get an XML report. Needless to say, this is very cumbersome and takes too much time to set up when it should be standard functionality. Autodesk should spend some time to correct this issue.
