    Default CAD 2005 and Excel

I don't really know if this is the right place to ask this question but....

I am trying to paste a excel doc. into AutoCAD 2005. I do the paste special and all that stuff and i get a great looking easy to update looking sheet. The most common doc. i import in is a door schedule. I will have up to 150 doors in some projects. Now the paste special works great up to 60 rows. I will have to paste 2 or 3 diff. ones. any help will be great.

I have moved this from the CWC forum to the AutoCAD general forum as I believe it is better served here.

    Thanks

Your on the right track, you have to break up your spreadsheets to import them. Autocad has limitation on importing spreadsheets. There are 3rd party programs that allow you to import the whole spreadsheet.

Incorrect in substance. Excel and the OS is the culprit in versions of AutoCAD 2004 and later. Excel needs to be at least XP (2002) and the OS needs to be at least 2000 (SP4).

Sorry, my mistake, We had users here who had limitations till I found out we were not on the same versions of Excel. They all been updated recently. We use 2003 with SP3, on XP Pro.
