Default Up arrow to repeat input & mstretch bug?

I'm used to using the up/down arrows to input what I've typed in before, but in 2006, the absolute coordinated are brought up instead of the actual numbers (relative) that I've typed.
For example, when I Move something with Ortho on, I type in the relative distance. The next Move I also want to go the same distance, and in 2005 & previous, I could hit the up arrow key to enter the same number, I hate when the absolute X & Y coordinates come up - they are absolutely useless to me! Is there a setting that can be toggled back to the way I want it or are we stuck with this.
Also, Mstretch seems to have a bug, or my computer or video card doesn't like it. Sometimes the first pickbox will stretch twice the amount as the second pickbox selected. Sometimes the first won't stretch at all, while the second will (as though it were the Stretch command). Anyone else?
    Thanks,
    -Mike

    Thank you Mike,
I'll try DYNPICOORDS tomorrow at work. Maybe my new computer (dual Opteron on Asus MB) doesn't like some things (Mstretch),example; Firefox seems to act funny whenever I have Outlook open.

Thanks, but I wasn't able to find anything for what I was looking for. The DYNMODE & DYNPICOORDS system variables didn't change it to where the up arrow keystroke (while in a command requiring numeric input such as Move or Stretch) would return anything except the X and Y coordinates, whereas I was looking for the single number that I typed in to Moved or Stretched (relative w/Ortho) something else before.

    Hi

Is this what you are looking for...

I've just made the change from 2004 to 2008 and notice that mstrech isn't working the same for me as well. I've tried every combination of DYNMODE and DYNPICOORDS and read all the posts above. I think this had more to do with the dynamic input rahter than the mstrech command. The link above posted on 08.16 doesn't seem to be valid anymore. Simplifying greatly, if i use mstrectch (or strech) on a line and pull two windows, one around each end point of a line, only the first endpoint of the line will strecth. In 2004, both endpoints will stretch. Often I find mstrech easier than using a crossing polyline when making complicated stretches. Help please!

On an aside, since you're now on 2008. Try using the normal STRETCH command - you can now select multiple Crossing Rectangles / Closed Polygons - same as with MSTRETCH.

I tried following the link but it said that it was not valid. Now I know how to get to the Knowledgebase so I was able to search by the id number. But my point is it seems so much easier to simply cut and paste the answer as it is to post a link........
