Default 2 layers for Cross Section Grid

Does any one have a simple solution for my problem, my boss keeps bringing up the point that the grid on the cross sections need to be 2 different colors, darker for the 5 foot offsets and lighter for the ones, same with the elevations?

The simplest way I can think of tackling this is to create a block with your extra grid and elevations labels in it. I know this won't make it a one click option, but you can insert the block at the CL and explode it so you can extend the grid lines to the limits of your sections. For your text, there is a lisp routine available on the exchange that will increment your text strings for you.
