Hi
The AutoCAD 2006 Service Pack 1 has been released by Shaan Hurley
Mike
There have been many updates in addition to SP1 that many will want to investigate. Here is a link to the autodesk website for AutoCAD.
Anybody else around who did not get the Service Pack 1 for Autocad 2006 installed?
We are using simply installed versions on our PC's. "Standalone-Locked" sais
the Product information in Autocad's "help"-"about" menu. So, I downloaded the seemingly appropriate Service Pack. (Someone pointed out, that it might be an administrator issue - but we have not set up our network with administrative rights)
The "read me" Text is telling me, that I might need to insert the original CD in order to
update...Bon, I tried it a couple of times and always got a prompt:
"The service pack could not be installed because the expected product could not be located on your computer. Make sure you are using the correct service pack for the product."
Well, in the autodesk universe, there is lot's of stuff, but I am pretty sure, that Autocad 2006 is the program I am using, and the service pack is the right one...
any hint could make my day.
Thanks,
Felix

So I can tell you that our corporate IT department told me that it was due to their registration process so they did some magic with the registration process. I will try to find out and let you know asap... (but i don't always get a fast response from them)
Thanks a lot Amy- will try to get in touch with Autodesk directly.
When trying to run Service Pack 1 I got the following : Error Code 1625.
What could this be and how do I go about installing the service pack when this pops up?
From Autodesk's site...Originally Posted by desiree.ball

To install the Service Pack, be sure to log in with the same user account that was used to install the Autodesk program initially or with an Administrator account
