    Default Properties Palette Slows Drawing

When the properties palette is open, after selecting or deselecting an object AutoCAD hangs for period of upto 10 seconds.

The only way I have found of avoiding the problem is by not using the properties palette.

Does anyone know of a solution to this problem?

    Thanks
