    Default 3 bricks + 3 mortar joints = 8" ???

When I place three "Mortar Joint: Brick Joint" detail components and three "Brick Standard: Running Section detail components, It does not course to 8". This has caused some confusion with details in my office. I have tried to modify the components, without success. Does anyone else have this to happen and how do you work with it?

You should be able to edit the detail component family and reload it like any family in 8.0 / 8.1.

The Brick UK Standard detail component family needed some minor dimensional adjustments to suit Australian brickwork standard sizes, but the parameters are already there. Can't check the Imperial content - don't have it loaded here.

Make sure you use a group of 3 lines offset 8" - not 1 line offset 2 2/3". With the 2 2/3", there will be a very slight rounding error over a long run of bricks or joints
