XP Installation Issues

Previously installed AutoCAD 2000 and Civil Series 3 into Win2k without issue. Now having a laptop with XP I am getting several error messages during install, "Serial Number/CDKey does not match. I know they match, I have had two other sets of eyes verify the entry. Still same issue. Found out C-Dilla had to be installed due to location of security information is located in 2k vs. XP. Even after installing C-Dilla and attempting to reinstall, NO GO. Please assist. I am in the field and needing this fix or assistance ASAP. Every second count against my budget for the job. I know that not your problem, but any assistance you can give is appreciated more than you can know.
