Dyamic Blocks & attext

To create a BOM I use a lisp routine to extract attribute information using the attext function. I can not extract the information successfully with attributes within a Dynamic Block. It seems I can only extract the information when the Dynamic block is in its original state.

Has anyone else had this problem and managed to solve it.

I am using AutoCAD 2006.
