My new main wish relates to stairs - they are 3d elements in construction so....
please give us true 3d capability for stairs in Revit -
1. Attach walls to undersides of monolithic stairs and treads (tired of workarounds)
2. Correct the plan view representations - make them 3d in plan view as well please, not 2d.
3. Ability to join geometry of stairs to all types of building elements, especially floors - why on earth can't we join concrete stairs with concrete floors?.
4. Stair numbering and variations within (flight numbers, numbering sequences etc)
4 mini-wishes within one main wish.
Mirror Project.......I don't see this anywhere. I make a wish every night that there were a "mirror project" button.
Wishes *could* come true if you would take a minute and contact Revit Support.....Originally Posted by chrisb.80133
Scott is refering to the fact that this abilty is hidden in the program but not stable yet. I you really need it bad enough, tech support can tell you how to enble it as long as you promise not to blame them if it doesn't work. I think this is sort of mean, but it's out there.
Side note...
There have been over 85 posts to this thread. Does anyone (Wes) know what is getting to the factory? Has there been any priorities established? It would be nice to have something to look forward to other than being surprised.
Too bad the Poll function only supports 10 options, else we could create a great big poll for everyone to vote for their top 3 or something....Originally Posted by bowlingbrad
I'd volunteer to put up a page that will support polling, but it may take me a while to find the time to assemble it.
I'll get back to you all later on that...
If you really want it to get to the factory, I believe the proper format for requests is to file a customer support request, those all get logged and I've been told that customer requests are logged and tallied in some fashion then ranked per number of user requests. We know the developers read this forum, but that doesn't mean they actually transfer these requests into any system for deciding what to do. I think this is a great way to show the level of need for diff. items.

My first customer support request would be to make the customer support request thingy work for people who have a firewall, and use firefox. Currently, it takes some doing to even get that website to work, and even then, reliability isn't great.
I wonder, do they really want me submitting all my "i wish" stuff as a support request? I'm a pretty prolific wisher...
Yes I wonder also. I thought that support requests were for having problems with the program. Is a wish considered a support request? If we all did that the support department would get flooded and the 2 hour response time would never be meet.Originally Posted by janunson
