Summary: Ability to have a layer display differently in different viewports

Description: I would like to be able to attach layer states to viewports

How Used: it will be nice to have an element green in one viewport and blue in another viewport in the same drawing file. And/or in one viewport that elemant has a centerline linetype and on the other viewport is dashed

You can currently accomplish through the use of XREFs. Attach or overlay multiple copies of the same reference file (give them different names in the xref manager dialogue) and clip them as desired. Use the layer manager with filters to make the display changes and freeze / thaw in the current viewport.

Sure that's one way of dealing with the issue, but what if you are not dealing with xrefs?

I agree that this is a long overdue feature. It would be nice to have control over ALL layer properties on a per-viewport basis, not just "Frozen in current viewport".

That is all good, but I want the ability to assign different hidden line types to different lines I pick instead of the one global value, obscuredltype, you are limited to applying to all viewports and all hidden lines. This concerns the hide command which I use in 3d views.
