Default Sloping Joists: Some do and some don't!

It seems like some joists will follow a sloped reference plane and some won't.

Is it possible to modify the ones that won't so that they will?

It is a trussed wood joist that I need in this case. The one in the library won't slope.

Open the family file. Under, Settings/Family Category and Parameters check to see that the Always Vertical family parameter is unchecked.

    Dimitri,

Thank you very much. When I went to uncheck "always vertical" I saw that there is another parameter for "work-plane based". I checked that one.

    This solved the problem!

A search turned up past conversations about this but there was no mention of this fix.
