Unhappy Can't access to AutoCAD 2000 after installation.

Error message popup once enter to ACAD 2000: Security system (hardware lock or network license) is not functioning or inproper installation. Is ACAD 2000 need toggle to run?

You probably need to talk to a local dealer.
Outside of USA/Canada a hardware lock (dongle) used to be required for acad but I don't remember when the dongle was dropped in favour of software locking. I think the international version of A2000 used software locking but, again, there have been two, possibly three, different software locks.
It's also possible that you have a network version which requires AutoDesk License Manager software to be installed either on the same pc as the client or on another pc on the network).

The dongle was removed starting with AutoCAD 2002. In 2000 it was still required. I'm not sure of what options you have now that Autodesk no longer supports the product. It used to be that your dealer could provide you with one if you had a licensed version, but it likely would cost you the replacement cost. Today I'm not sure if you dealer can still get these or not... but they'll be the first ones you should contact.

Hi "emipang" (Sorry, I don't know your real name)

Please note I have *moved* this thread from the Software forum to this one as I feel this particular Forum is a more appropriate place for such a topic.

    Thanks, Mike

    Hi

Check out the following Technical Document on the Autodesk web site under the Knowledge Base section -
