    Default Adding additional Attributes

We have recieved a drawing from a client that has blocks with attributes in them that i need to add addtional information too. These blocks only contain one attribute and I need to add a second line to them. Is there a way to add another attribute to a block??

    Hi

Check out the following Technical Document on the Autodesk web site under the Knowledge Base section -

ID: TS65921 - Change block attributes with ATTREDEF command

ID: TS59629 - Difference between Block Attribute Manager and Enhanced Attribute Editor - Don't forget the "Sync" button

    +

The command AttSync is worth a look -

AutoCAD OnLine Help File [F1] -> Contents tab -> AutoCAD Online Manuals -> User's Guide -> Create and Modify Objects -> Draw Geometric Objects -> Create and Insert Symbols -> Modify Blocks -> Modify Block Attributes

    Have a good one, Mike

    Question Re: Adding additional Attributes

I have also added a new att line to an existing att. i want update it without changing the text values. want keep text already typed. one text string will stay the while the others will revert to the attribute default values. basically can i sinc with out changing the text values?

hmm, excellent question, I don't know offhand... why not copy a couple blocks into an empty drawing and experiment/see what will happen?
