Unhappy Group command - descriptions lost

I have just started using groups to collate entities across layers - this is useful as they are not blocks, and I do not want them to behave like blocks.

However, the descriptions that I give to the groups somehow get lost in between closing down the group dialogue, and firing it up again.

Something I am doing wrong maybe?

The Group dialogue does not look like it has been updated for several releases - maybe it is not used enough.....

It maybe that just multiple changes to the descriptions are lost - if I do one at a time, close the dialogue and then open again they do stick.....

are you inputing the description when you first define the group? If not, after you type in the description, do you click the description button under change group to save it?

The descriptions have been added - so I type in the description, and then click Description, and the message flashes (bottom left) Description Updated (or something similar) - I am away from the programme at the moment.

I'm not sure, it could be an issue with Acad2004, I'm using 2005 and it seems to work fine. Have you done a search in the forums or on Autodesk's knowledge base? I would recommend a general search 'groups' and see what it gets you.
