Default Copy and rename an XREF

Summary: The ability to copy and rename an XREF within a drawing.

Description: Ability to copy xref and give it a different name.

How Used: I would use this ability to copy an xref in a drawing and give it a different name.

Example: Lets say that you have an Xref. You want to change the appearance of that Xref. So you would select copy xref and give it a different name. Now you have a child xref that is from the parent xref. Everything is still the same as the parent xref except for the name. Now you can to show it the way you want it. Like turn off layers, change colors and etc… This would be very useful for doing mechanical, electrical, plumbing and framing plans.

I have read the link and it is all good. But the way that I wish eliminates the need to go into the Xref manager and go through all those step. With this way, you just select copy xref and it prompt you for a new name.

    I think this is worthwhile.
Look at it as xreffing the same file multiple times without have to change the name of one insertion before making the next insertion.
