    Default Door Assemblies Made Easy?

Though I doubt anything about Door/Window Assemblies could be considered easy, this seems to be something at least some of our users can follow. My team and I have gotten so many similar questions lately, I developed a tutorial for one real-world problem plus variations on the theme. Be aware there are many, many ways to accomplish the end result. My intent was something really flexible, specifically sidelights and transoms that get larger and smaller while the door remains constant, particularly in SD and DD phases. This method eliminates multiple styles for each individual instance of a sidelight dimension. If you can create these, you are well on your way to creating anything.

As a caveat, the Low Detail display for the hinged doors appears as if the anchor position is incorrect. Do not shoot the messenger (me) - this is another example of OOTB display errors. The most recent similar post is from Mr. Heaton in the ADT 2005 location.

Anyway, maybe this will help. The ZIP file contains the tutorial and the source drawing for the styles I created. Good luck.
